The Central Contgomery County S.W.A.T team was called to respond to the 1100 block of Dekalb Pike yesterday afternoon just before three for a possible hostage situation at the location. The landlord of the apartment called 911 after finding the apartment door open and two firearms lying on a table. The reported presence of firearms prompted S.W.A.T. team members to be called. The tenants were not at home and team members recovered the weapons. Meantime Dekalb Pike was closed between Skippack Pike and Cherry Road for two hours causing commuter delays, officials say the closure was made to ensure public safety.
