A former Whitpain township supervisor is expected to plead guilty to charges that he stole $1.5 million dollars from a company for which he did accounting work. Bill McKernan quit his supervisor's post last year the same day he was charged. His attorney is former Montgomery County DA Bruce Castor who says he'll try to get a plea agreement that will allow McKernan to keep working so he can pay restitution. The 44 year old works for the Bluebell accounting firm founded by his father. McKernan is also charged with stealing more than $50,000 from the Lower Gwynedd Little League where he had volunteered his accounting services. He faces a Montgomery County Court date next month.
