A Former Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Enforcement Officer who admitted extorting money from local bars and restaurants in Bucks and Montgomery Counties has been given three years in federal prison. 35-year-old Gina Marie Kepler, formerly of Warrington, pleaded guilty earlier this year in federal court in Philadelphia. Prosecutors say she took money from the owners of Bobby’s Burger Tavern in Conshohocken, the Bridgeport Rib House, the Perkiomen Café in Oaks, Jerzee’s Sports Bar in Glenside, The Chill Bar and Johnny Apples Restaurant in Holland, Maggio’s and Kenny’s Spirited Eatery in Southampton and the Langhorne Hotel. They say she got the money in a number of different ways, taking advantage of her clout as a Liquor Enforcement Officer, and she claimed some of the payments she extorted were loans or gifts.
