A Hilltown doctor is accused of prescribing drugs for addicted women in return for sex. 67-year-old Doctor Harris Newman is charged with several felony drug offenses. He owns the County Line Medical Family Practice Center on County Line Road, on the border between Hilltown and Telford, and lives on Lorien Drive in Lower Gwynedd. Court documents say one woman told investigators she would get her prescription in the daytime, have it filled, and then return after office hours to have sex with Doctor Newman. Another woman, 31-year-old Stacey Coffey of Telford, died of an overdose in April after taking Oxycodone and other pills he allegedly prescribed for her. He has not been charged in her death, but an investigation is underway.
