Reward Offered In Norristown Murder

gunA $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who shot and killed Ernesto Vallalta and wounded Jose Sanchez at about 1:00am Sunday on West Marshall Street in Norristown. They were attending a party and looking out of a kitchen window in a second-floor apartment when the gunman aimed up and shot them from the ground.  The 38-year-old Vallalta, who had been arguing with the man on the ground, was shot twice in the torso and once directly in the forehead.  Sanchez, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday at the party, is hospitalized in stable condition.  The shooter is described as a black man of medium height and build with short hair.  Anyone with information regarding the shooting should call Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3378 or Norristown Police Detectives at 610-270-0977.
