A judge has turned down a convicted Lansdale sex offender’s request for a lighter sentence. 36-year-old Ronald McDade was given 26 to 55 years in state prison for criminal charges resulting from three incidents. In the most serious case, he raped a 13-year-old girl in January of 2008 at the Green Street home where he lived with his fiancee. The rape happened while he was out on bail awaiting trial for an incident in September of 2007, where he allegedly tried to lure a 15-year-old girl into his car at the Allen-Forge Shopping Center in Towamencin Township, and another incident the same day where a woman walking past McDade’s car with her two young daughters saw him exposing himself in the parking lot of the Montgomery Township Target Store. In a written opinion, Montgomery County Judge Paul Tressler said the three incidents were progressively more dangerous to the public, and the sentences are not excessive under the circumstances.
