Another parent is accused of leaving his kids in a car while he gambled at the Parx Casino in Bucks County. The latest incident happened during the early-morning hours about three weeks ago. Tam Truong of Philadelphia was celebrating his 38th birthday when he allegedly left his two girls, age six and eight, alone in his Toyota Sienna minivan for about an hour. Bensalem Township Police say Truong was also drunk when they found him, with a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit for driving, but he was not charged with DUI because they could not prove he drove to the casino in that condition. He is charged with endangering the welfare of children, a crime some lawmakers have proposed upgrading from a misdemeanor to a felony if children under the age of 13 are left in a casino parking lot. He’s the seventh adult arrested for leaving kids in a vehicle outside the casino since June of this year.
