A gift-wrapped box with two live bombs inside was found Thursday at a Bucks County bank branch. An employee found it around 8:30am in an entranceway outside the M and T Bank in a shopping center at Street and Hulmeville Roads in Bensalem. A note inside demanded money and said the bank would get a phone call with instructions on where to put it. The bombs were rigged to be detonated by cell phone. The Philadelphia Bomb Squad safely set off the homemade pipe bombs. Bensalem Public Safety Director Fred Harran says it was a robbery, the same as if someone had walked in with a gun. He declined comment on evidence found at the scene.
