A Bucks County man found guilty of setting his Richland Township townhouse on fire during a drunken argument with his wife has been given 2 1/2 to 5 years in state prison. Jurors convicted 37-year-old Brian Bonekemper of arson and other offenses, including public drunkenness, earlier this year. He set his wife’s clothing on fire in March, heavily damaging his townhouse in the Walnut Bank Farms development and causing some damage to an adjacent unit. At his sentencing on Friday he said his drinking problem got the better of him, and he vowed to never drink again. Judge Alan Rubenstein told him alcohol is a bad fuel that makes people do bad things, and warned him that if he drinks again he’ll be back in court.
