A man police describe as a career criminal is accused of breaking into a beauty shop in Limerick Township and stealing money. 30-year-old Jeffrey Ridenour, whose last known address was on Ridge Pike in Limerick, is charged with burglary and related offenses. An officer who was checking the doors at businesses along Ridge Pike early Sunday spotted broken glass in the door at Great Lengths Hair Design. Sergeant Edward Ciaciak saw a man run from the shop, so he ran after him and tackled him, and it turned out to be Ridenour. Police say the tackle did not injure the sergeant or the suspect, and they found money taken from the shop in his possession. Police suspect he committed a number of other burglaries along Ridge Pike, and they are still under investigation. Ridenour is being held at Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
