City Man Faces Homicide Charge Years After Bucks Co Shooting

gunA Philadelphia man has been charged with criminal homicide in a Bucks County shooting that happened 38 years ago. 62-year-old Domingo Negron served one or two years in prison on a lesser charge after the shooting on Mother’s Day of 1973.  The Victim, Joseph Kwiatkowski, died two years ago at the age of 54 while living at a nursing home in Florida, where a medical examiner ruled that his death was a homicide, caused by complications from the gunshot wound he suffered many years earlier.  He was shot in the back during a fight outside the F and M Food Mart, also known as the Hoagie Hut, near the Warminster Heights public housing development.  Police and Bucks County Detectives investigated for nearly two years, and they finally located witnesses and developed enough evidence for a grand jury to recommend the homicide charge.  Negron’s lawyer says his client did not fire the shot.
