Councilman Convicted In Molestation Case

Bucks_County_CourthouseA Bucks County jury has found a Chalfont Borough Councilman guilty of molesting a 12-year-old boy. Police say 49-year-old William Kuder lured the victim into his Jasen Drive home in 2002, asking for help with fixing a computer, before he fondled the boy.  The victim, now 21 years old, said Kuder touched him in his private area before pulling his pants down and fondling him again, and then he whined when the boy refused a request for oral sex.  The boy escaped, but did not tell anyone about the incident until April of last year, when he told his sister and a criminal investigation started.  A key piece of prosecution evidence was a conversation between Kuder and the victim, secretly recorded in June of last year with court permission.  In the recording he apologized repeatedly for what he had done.  Kuder was a neighbor and a friend of the boy’s family.
