A Bucks County lawmaker is accused of driving drunk. 51-year-old State Representative John Galloway, a Democrat who represents Falls and Bristol Townships and Morrisville and Tullytown Boroughs, was stopped at about 2:00am Tuesday on Second Street in Harrisburg, a few blocks from the capitol, after running a stop sign. Police say he failed a field sobriety test and refused a breath test. He could lose his license for a year for refusing the breath test, even if he is not convicted of DUI. He has issued a statement saying he made a very serious mistake. He said there is no excuse for drinking and driving and he apologized to his family and friends and the people he represents, adding that he is thankful no one was injured.
