U Gwynedd Man Faces Arson Charges

An Upper Gwynedd man is accused of setting a neighbor’s home on fire to cover up a burglary. 43-year-old Jeffrey Streamer of Browning Court in Upper Gwynedd is charged with arson and other offenses in the Fourth of July fire that heavily damaged the home of Guy Malik, on Anders Road near Valley Forge Road in Towamencin Township.  Police say he stole several items including baseballs, earrings and 20 dollars in currency, and then poured gasoline inside the home and ignited it.  No one was home at the time, and no one was injured.  Firefighters who entered the home reported smelling gasoline, and investigators found that it was arson.  Streamer is being held at Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
