A package spotted near commuter rail lines in Lansdale puts a halt to train service. Lansdale police were called to the Pennbrook station shortly before six Thursday evening when a conductor saw a package near the tracks. All outbound and in-bound service was immediately brought to a standstill until police could arrive. Lansdale and septa police, along with the Montgomery county bomb squad responded the Pennbrook station. The package was destroyed by the bomb squad just before 8pm. Upon further examination, it was determined that the package did not contain explosive materials. The package was wedged against the outside of a rail.
