Burglar Gets Long Prison Term

A man who admitted breaking into several homes in Towamencin and Lower Salford Townships is going to prison. 40-year-old Gary Kieffer, whose last known address was in Allentown, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of burglary and robbery.  A Montgomery County judge gave him 12 to 24 years in state prison and ordered him to pay more than $21,000 in restitution to the victims.  He was arrested last December after a victim on Old Forty Foot Road in Towamencin gave police his license plate number.  During the investigation he rode around with police and pointed out other homes he had burglarized on Old Forty Foot and Kriebel Roads in Towamencin and Store and Quarry Roads in Lower Salford.  Cash, jewelry and electronics were stolen during the burglaries.
