A State Trooper is suing the Pennsylvania State Police in Montgomery County Court. Deanny Wright of Limerick says he was improperly taken off of active duty after an illness more than two years ago. He had been Community Services Officer at the Skippack Barracks prior to that, but his lawsuit says he was placed on limited duty on a staff unit in Philadelphia even though doctors cleared him to return to full duty. Wright says he was stripped of his weapon and barred from wearing his uniform, which resulted in embarrassment, humiliation and damage to his reputation. He is seeking compensatory and punitive damages and full reinstatement with all pay, benefits and seniority.
