A Bucks County man is accused of striking and killing a bicyclist while driving drunk, less than 24 hours after another DUI arrest. 22-year-old Brett Truskin of Ivyland is charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and other offenses. Police say he was intoxicated when he struck and killed 49-year-old Gregory Loper shortly before 6:00pm Friday, November 18, in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, and then went on to strike several parked cars with his 2011 Toyota Rav4. His first DUI arrest came late Thursday night, also in the city, and he was released without bail on Friday morning, hours before the fatal DUI crash. Witnesses reported seeing hypodermic needles in the vehicle, indicating that Truskin may have been on both drugs and alcohol.
