Montgomery County prosecutors are asking a judge to move an accused killer from Norristown State Hospital to the county prison. 24-year-old Joseph McAndrew Junior (pictured here) is accused of killing three family members. He is charged with three counts of first degree murder in the deaths of his mother, father and brother at their home on Holstein Road in the Gulph Mills section of Upper Merion Township in March of this year. Court documents indicate he had been dealing with mental illness, possibly schizophrenia, prior to the killings. His twin brother James, his 70-year-old father Joseph McAndrew Senior and his 64-year-old mother Susan were stabbed to death with an 18-inch dagger. He returns to court January 20, and a judge will probably set a trial date at that time.
