Montgomery County prosecutors have released more information about the murder of an 86-year-old woman at her Huntingdon Valley home. Mary Pellegrino was found dead in January of 2010, and the county coroner’s office ruled that it was a homicide caused by blunt force trauma to the head. She was a retired widow with no children who lived alone on Pine Road near Route 63. Prosecutors say she enjoyed talking to people at Dunkin’ Donut stores and Tiffany’s Diner in Northeast Philadelphia, and she also hired handymen at the Home Depot on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philly and paid them in cash. They hope the additional information and a $10,000 reward might shake loose a lead.
