Accused Molester Was School Band Volunteer

Steven_FitzgeraldA former volunteer marching band technician at Norristown Area High School is accused of molesting two 15-year-old girls. 24-year-old Steven Fitzgerald (pictured here) of Pennsauken, New Jersey is charged with statutory rape, corruption of minors and other offenses.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman says he set up a meeting with a band member by exchanging messages on Facebook.  After picking up the intended victim and her friend, he drove to local parking lots and allegedly assaulted both of them.  The victims were ninth graders at the time of the incidents two years ago, and they went to police last week when Fitzgerald allegedly contacted them again for purposes of having sex.
