Lansdale police are looking for a man who led them on a chase more than three months ago. It was only recently, after a long continuing investigation, that they positively identified him as 32-year-old Ansord Rashied (shown here) of Wallace Place in Philadelphia.
The incident started around 8:00 pm on March 31 when a Lansdale officer approached and spoke with the driver of a suspicious Honda Pilot in the 600 block of South Broad Street. As a second officer arrived, they say he took off at a high rate of speed down South Broad Street, made a right turn onto Sumneytown Pike and headed for the Pennsylvania Turnpike, blowing through the toll plaza without regard for other motorists. At that point police ended the chase for safety reasons.
They believe Rashied may be in the Norristown-Collegeville area or in Philadelphia.
