Top Cop in Montgomeryville Is Stepping Down

The top cop in Montgomeryville has attended his last township board of supervisors meeting in an official capacity.   This Thursday is the last day on the job for Police Chief Rich Brady and township officials Monday night recognized him for 42 years of community service.   Brady won't officially retire until October 1st but in the meantime the chief plans to do a little traveling.   He say the most traumatic event during his career in law enforcement was the death of township police officer David Hancock in 1976.   He was shot and killed with his own gun after arresting a burglary suspect.
