Two Bucks County men are accused of laundering drug money through the slot machines at Parx Casino in Bensalem.
27-year-old John Goodenough of Doylestown and 24-year-old Brett Battle of Perkasie are charged with dealing in unlawful proceedings and other offenses.
Pennsylvania State Police say they put the dirty money into the slots and then took vouchers and exchanged them for clean cash at the casino’s ticket redemption machine.
A trooper became suspicious and escorted them into a state police office at the casino on Street Road. A search of the men and their car turned up more than $23,000 in cash. With the exception of $1,000 from the casino machine, the money tested positive for the active ingredient in marijuana.
Troopers also found about an eighth of an ounce of high-grade marijuana in the car.
