Pair May Have Stolen Jewels Worth $1 Million

Two men accused of burglarizing the Jems, Jewels and Gold Store in the English Village Shopping Center off Route 309 in Horsham Township more than a month ago now face new charges.

38-year-old Phillip Prokop of Avenel Boulevard in North Wales and 23-year-old Ryan Wiley of June Meadow Drive in Doylestown were charged this week in connection with burglaries at the Bernie Robbins and Mayfair jewelry stores in Newtown Township, and police believe they were involved in other Bucks County burglaries in Doylestown, Buckingham, Warwick and Warrington, and one or both of them may have burglarized the Montgomery Township Costco store in September by waiting inside at closing time.

Police say they were arrested last month after they tried to sell a large quantity of jewelry to Richards Gold Depot on Easton Road in Horsham, and their alleged thefts could total more than $1 million.
