A Hatfield man accused of threatening to kill his roommate is heading for trial.
A district judge ruled at a preliminary hearing this week that prosecutors have enough evidence to take the case to trial in Montgomery County Court.
38-year-old Elias Castro-Martinez is charged with aggravated assault and other offenses stemming from a November incident at the apartment he shared with the victim on Penn Street in Hatfield. Police say he punched Alvarado Castro in the head and threatened him with a “Rambo”-type knife.
During their investigation police found that Castro-Martinez was a Honduran immigrant in the country illegally, and he was using a phony name.
