Home-Invasion Murder Getaway Car Identified

Bucks County authorities are asking the public for help in solving a home-invasion robbery and murder.

48-year-old Joseph Canazaro was killed last month at his Hilltown home.

Police say two men entered the Swartley Road house through a first-floor bedroom window on Friday morning, January 18, and tied up Canazaro, his girlfriend and twelve-year-old son and searched the house for valuables.  They took an undisclosed number of firearms.

The woman managed to free herself and the boy and call 911, but by the time police got to the house he was dead.

Friends say he was a family man who enjoyed being around his two sons, but he also had a long history of financial problems that included millions of dollars in debt and more than $500,000 in unpaid taxes, and in 2008 he filed for bankruptcy.

Based on surveillance camera pictures, police say they believe the men got away in a red Nissan sedan, and they would like to hear from anyone who may have seen it.
