Vandals Leave Their Mark on 18th Century Home

Vandals strike an 18th century home, leaving a path of destruction inside the classic dwelling. The home, located on the 500 block of Bethlehem pike, was not occupied, but the owner regularly visits. It’s been in the family for 100 years, according to the owner. 11 windows were smashed out, graffiti and red oil paint were spattered on the walls and a kitchen appliance. A small hand print in red paint was also discovered, a clue that may help police. The damage to the home is estimated in the thousands. It’s believed the vandals entered the home sometime over the weekend or Monday. The owner found the home in shambles on Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call Montgomery Township Police at 215-362-2301
