Chainsaw Theft Caught on Video Lands Man in Prison

The theft of two chainsaws leads to a prison term for a Green Lane man. 36-year-old, Patrick Dillon, according to police, committed the theft on November 27th of last year. The chainsaws were first reported missing from Terra Landscaping in Lower Providence on November 29th. Dillon, an employee of the company at the time of the theft, helped look for the missing chainsaws, but video surveillance would ultimately identify the suspect. Police say, Dillon was captured on video pulling up his vehicle close to the building and placing the equipment in the vehicle. Dillon told authorities he was only barrowing the chainsaws. Dillon plead guilty and will serve a sentence of 11 2/3 to 23 months in prison, followed by two years of probation.
