Governor Tom Corbett held a news conference in Harrisburg Thursday afternoon concerning the snow storm that blanketed the region with snow sleet and rain. Corbett first addressed the situation concerning the state’s emergency declaration.
“There was some rumors going around social media that we were not in a state of emergency, that information is wrong. We’ve been in a state emergency since the last storm. We don’t have to declare it again. It’s automatic at this point.
I also want to thank citizens for cooperating during this storm, mainly by staying home and letting the plows do their job on the roads and highways.”
Corbett says, the National Guard is also on duty with whatever needs to be done during the storm clean-up.
