Three Democrats and nine Republicans are seeking their party’s nomination for Lieutenant Governor. The GOP field includes Bucks County Commissioner Jim Cawley. Three Republicans are competing for the right to run against three-term Democratic Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz in the 13th District, which is about half in Montgomery County and half in Northeast Philadelphia. They are Abington attorney Dee Adcock, Harleysville attorney Josh Quinter and Philadelphia Firefighter Brian Haughton. In the Sixth District, which includes parts of Montgomery, Chester and Berks Counties, incumbent Congressman Jim Gerlach faces Patrick Sellers in the Republican Primary. Democrats Doug Pike and Manan Trivedi are competing for the right to face frontrunner Gerlach in November. In the Eighth District, which is mostly in Bucks County, Republicans Mike Fitzpatrick, Gloria Carlineo, Ira Hoffman and James Jones are competing for the right to run against incumbent Democrat Patrick Murphy. In Montgomery County’s 147th State House District, which is mainly in the Upper Perkiomen Valley, voters have a special election between Republican Marcy Toepel and Democrat Bob Dodge, and independents can vote in that contest.
