Borough Council has approved a contract with the accounting firm that has done annual audits for the last three years. Councilman Dan Dunigan says experience was a big factor in picking Maillie Falconiero and Company of Oaks.
“As our auditor over the last three years they have been instrumental in assisting us in converting from the Dark Ages of borough accounting to the current system, and in the eyes of the committee that recommended them to council, that weighed considerably. Sort of, they earned their stripes.”
The firm will do this year’s audit, and it has an option for the next two years. It was one of five companies that submitted proposals.
