Parkhouse Resigns As L Salford Supervisor

wnpv_politicsLong-time Lower Salford Township Supervisor Jeffrey Parkhouse has resigned, effective last week, after 15 years of service. Township Manager Delton Planck says his ten years of prior experience on the planning commission served him well.

“He was well versed in the dynamic changes that occurred in the township as a member of the planning commission during the very big growth years in the mid-80’s to mid-90’s, and I think that gave him a great perspective.”

Planck says Parkhouse was a pleasure to work with, and he and his wife moved out of the township to be closer to their adult daughter.  The board will appoint a new supervisor next month to serve through next year, and resumes are coming in.  The appointee and others can run in next year’s elections for the last two years of Parkhouse’s term.
