No Tax Hike In Bucks Co Budget

dollarThe Bucks County Commissioners have approved a budget that calls for more than $463 million in spending and no tax hike next year. It draws a little over $8 million from the Cash Reserve, also known as the Rainy Day Fund.  Doylestown Borough Council President Det Ansinn, a Democrat who is running for county commissioner, warned that taking that much money from the Rainy Day Fund could jeopardize the county’s AAA bond rating, but Republican Commissioner and Lieutenant Governor-Elect Jim Cawley said the money is being used for its intended purpose, and it hasn’t rained this hard since 1929.
