Norristown Council has approved revised land development plans for Studio Centre, an upgraded and expanded version of the old Logan Square Shopping Center at Markley Street and Johnson Highway. They call for a new three-level parking garage behind the old Sears building and a renovated headquarters for the USM Corporation, but a Pathmark Supermarket has been eliminated because the parent company has filed for bankruptcy. Studio Centre was a $100 million project at one time, but the scaled-down version comes in at $48 million. Work is already underway, and it should be finished in June.
