The Lansdale Library Board of Trustees has approved a budget that calls for more than a half-million dollars in spending this year, and Administrator Tom Meyer says they will spend some of the money on furnishings. “We plan to spend about $5,000. We’ve had a lot of people ask for more comfortable seating. We’re going to look into that and possibly a room divider for our conference room and some display cases.”
The board restored $50,000 of the $90,000 it cut from the budget last year. The borough provides about 90 percent of the library’s funding, and about half of the budget pays wages and benefits for 14 employees.
