Warren Running Again

Bucks_County_CourthouseLong-time Bucks County Commissioner Andy Warren wants to return to his old job if the voters will have him. He plans to run in the Republican Primary Election on May 17.  He says it was a great job.

“I loved the job.  I, as a virtually lifelong Bucks Countian, love this county, and I think elective office is a very honorable calling.  I’ve been away from elective office for 15 years or so.”

During that time he was a regional administrator at PennDot for about ten years and borough manager of Tullytown for about two years.  Since then he has been an executive with the Pennjerdel Corporation, a regional advocacy group for transportation projects.  He says his experience in state, county and local government, as well as the private sector, should make him uniquely qualified.

“I believe that I’m probably better qualified for the demands of being a county commissioner than I was when I left.”

While at PennDot, Warren says he oversaw construction projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and his experience there will be very valuable as Bucks County builds a new justice center, the largest construction project in the county’s history.
