A long-delayed Lansdale housing development is one step closer to reality. Andale Green was first proposed about five years ago for more than 14 acres on Hancock Street, Between Broad and Line and across from Stony Creek Park (pictured here). Lansdale-based builder Jim Moulton said at the time they would have 288 one and two-bedroom condos for people age 55 and up, with stores and restaurants a short walk away at the Pavilion Shopping Center. Now he says the market for age-restricted housing has dried up, and Borough Council has agreed to remove the age restriction. This does not mean construction is imminent. It just re-starts the land development process.
