The Upper Dublin Township Commissioners have been waiting a long time for the state’s response to an application for an H2O PA grant that would help pay for flood control measures in the Fort Washington Business Park. Early last year they approved paying an engineering firm more than $1 million to design two detention dams and also applied for the grant. The Commonwealth Financing Authority originally promised a decision by last November, but now it looks like no grants will be awarded until the state budget is approved. Several township commissioners say the dams have to be built with or without the grant.
