Ambler Borough Council is applying for a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant to help pay for repairing the Loch Alsh Reservoir dam. It was damaged last summer during Tropical Storm Lee. A contractor was already doing more than $650,000 worth of renovations when Lee struck in early September, and fixing additional damage from the storm will cost about $275,000 more. That’s the amount the borough hopes to get from the federal Flood Mitigation Grant. Much of the work has already been done, and it should be finished in about two months. The reservoir is located on Loch Alsh Avenue in Upper Dublin, but it’s part of the Ambler Borough Water Department system.
