Grooming: Part of Proposed Child Protection Law.

A series of child protection bills that were crafted over the Jerry Sandusky scandal are moving forward in HarrisburgBucks County State Rep. Kathy Watson sponsored a bill that passed in the House. Watson says, another bill, crafted by State Rep. Scott Petri, includes a ruse used by sexual predators called “grooming.”

“Which is a form of a sexual predator who is giving gifts and doing things came out of Sandusky and some of the things we learned from psychologists and psychiatrists. Truthfully, five years ago, none of us would have put that in the law or even knew about it.”

Watson says, all the bills on children protection should be revisited every five years. Watson is hopeful a general consensus can be agreed upon by both parties on the various child protection bills in the fall. Watson was a guest on the WNPV Program Comment Please By Univest on Friday
