Congressman Says Govt. Can Save Billions in travel Expenses

Bucks County Congressman, Mike Fitzpatrick says the government needs to start cutting back on its travel expenses. Fitzpatrick has crafted a bill called
“Stay in Place Cut The Waste"….. Fitzpatrick says the key to cutting expenses is through video conferencing.

“And what it would do is cut 50 percent of government agency travel and replace it with video conferencing. The savings in one years would be 5 billion dollars. Over a ten year period we’re talking about 50 billion dollar savings during the budget cycle.”
