Leach Cites Recent Case For Support of Safe Harbor Bill

The recent revelation of a prostitution ring allegedly carried out by Florencio Martinez is an example of whatState Senator, Daylin Leach is trying combat with his Safe Harbor Bill.

“Not only are we trying to stop the activities by making it easier to catch people like Mr. Martinez, but to help young women and girls should not be treated like criminals. They should be given help and a chance to escape. They should be given services and putting them in the criminal justice system doesn’t help. We need to pass this bill.

Martinez, according to court documents, would pick up girls  and women of all ages and ethnicities in Philadelphia and Norristown at bus stops and trains stations and use them for a week by prostituting them in Montgomery and surrounding counties. Martinez is in the u-s on a passport. He was arraigned on Saturday and charged with over 100 counts relating to prostitution. Martinez lives in Perkiomen Township.
