Hatfield Township Commissioner’s Race Has Two Newcomers

The race for commissioner in Hatfield Township’s second ward will be to watch next Tuesday when voters cast their ballots.

“The Board in the past, I don’t really know this personally from my own experiences, but there was a lot of infighting going on and I know they’ve worked on clearing that up and working together again, I just want to be a part of that process.”

That’s Marvin Morris, running on the Democratic ticket. Morris says he’s heard from potential voters that say Hatfield Township is becoming overdeveloped and that traffic is a growing problem.

Bob Rodgers, a Republican candidate for commissioner says, if elected, his top priority will be the Township’s financial wellbeing.

“We need to look how we spend money and we need to prioritize that and we need to put our Police and Fire Department at the very top of the list.”

Rodgers and Morris were guests on the AM Edition Thursday morning.
