Kennedy’s Win in PA Was Key To His Presidential Victory

The 50th anniversary of one of the most notorious crimes in the nation’s history is coming up this Friday. On November 22nd, 1963 U.S. President John F. Kennedy was shot to death in Dallas’ Dealey Plaza. In happier days, when Kennedy was running against Richard Nixon in the Presidential Race of 1960, he needed to win Pennsylvania. Political analyst, Doctor Terry Madonna says, Kennedy’s victory in the state reflected a nationwide trend.

“Kennedy won our state by about 116,000 votes. His national edge over Richard Nixon was about 118,000 votes.”

Kennedy’s victory over Nixon led him to the oval office, and ultimately to Dallas, where lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald strike down the President from the 6th floor of the Texas Book Depository Building. A large number of Americans believe others were involved in the assassination.
