CB Super Says Blogging Teacher Must Go

wnpv_schoolsCentral Bucks Superintendent of Schools Robert Laws says a CB East High School teacher, suspended earlier this month for a blog she wrote and posted on the internet, must go. At Tuesday night’s School Board meeting he said English teacher Natalie Munroe’s own actions have made it impossible for her to teach in the district.  He said no student should be subjected to the hostile environment she has created, and Munroe has lost the confidence, trust and respect of her students, their parents and her colleagues.  In recent interviews she said she stands by what she wrote about too many students being rude, lazy whiners who curse, argue for grades and complain about everything.  She also used profanity in describing students who she did not identify.  Her lawyer, Steven Rovner, said she did nothing wrong, and if she is fired he will take further legal steps, possibly a constitutional case based on her First Amendment right to free speech.
