Jill Biden Speaking At MCCC Commencement

mcccThe Second Lady of the United States, Doctor Jill Biden, is the Keynote Speaker at this year’s Montgomery County Community College Commencement. Doctor Biden, who grew up in Willow Grove, has been an educator for more than 30 years.  She taught English and writing for 15 years at the Delaware Technical and Community College, and she still teaches part-time at Northern Virginia Community College.  Since arriving at the White House with her husband, Vice President Joe Biden, she has promoted community colleges as being uniquely positioned to graduate more Americans with the skills needed to compete in the 21st Century.  This year’s Montgomery County Community College graduating class is the largest ever, with nearly 1,500 students getting their degrees.  The commencement ceremony takes place May 19 at the Valley Forge Convention Center.
