A renovation and expansion project at Inglewood Elementary School, on Allentown Road in Towamencin, could start this summer. The Township Supervisors approved plans for heating, air conditioning, fire suppression and security improvements, a new roof and windows, a modern kitchen and two new classrooms about a year ago. The work was set to start in the summer of last year, but it was delayed because of budget constraints. North Penn Business Administration Director Robert Schoch says this could be a good time to move forward because interest rates are near historic lows and the construction industry is very competitive. The school board will discuss the Inglewood project at its work session Tuesday, February 7.
