NP School Project Goes Out For Bids

The North Penn School Board has put an Inglewood Elementary School expansion and renovation project out for bids. The project was originally planned for last year at the school, on Allentown Road in Towamencin Township, but it was put on hold because of budget constraints.  Board President Vince Sherpinsky says the next step is opening the bids.

“We’ll have our bids back so that they can be approved if we choose to move forward with the project in March, which will put us on a schedule to do some of the heavy work in the summer when the kids aren’t there.”

The plans call for new heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and fire suppression systems, as well as four new classrooms.  He says the estimated cost is $14 million, and work should start in the summer.
