Montgomery County Community College Political Science Professor Tom Kolsky is running for president on the American Preservative Party Ticket.
He says his campaign is not serious, but the party platform is, with education, health and tax reform among the top priorities.
He says the major parties practice the politics of mass distraction, attacking their opponents by digging up dirt, even if it means going back years and years, and pandering to public opinion.
“The public is being manipulated constantly through pre-testing, so they address themselves to the fears and biases and hopes of the public rather than being true leaders.”
Doctor Kolsky says the campaign grew out of a course he teaches on the election, but he hopes some of his ideas will enter into the public discourse.
